Designed to fit seamlessly beneath the Savona Kids Bed, this GREENGUARD Gold certified children's trundle bed is crafted from white oak hardwood with a smooth, water-based finish. With easy-glide functionality and sturdy construction, the Savona Trundle helps you make the most of your child’s room without sacrificing style or floor space. Use it as a roll-out sleeping space for overnight guests or as under bed storage to organize toys, clothes, or extra bedding.

Crafted from sustainably harvested, solid white oak with a Janka hardness rating of 1360, the Savona Kids Trundle is built to handle daily use — from packed-full storage to nightly sleepovers. Unlike mass-produced alternatives made with MDF or oriented strand board, it brings natural warmth, durability, and classic style right down to floor level.

A Gentler Finish, Backed by Testing

Kids are close to everything at floor level, which is why the Savona Trundle is finished with a water-based, low-VOC coating that meets FDA food-contact standards. And the safety doesn't stop at the finish: all materials have been tested for lead, phthalates, formaldehyde, and heavy metals to comply with California Prop 65, Children's Safe Products regulations, and ASTM toy safety standards.

Savona Kids Trundle Drawer FAQs

The Savona Trundle is made from real hardwood along with FSC®-certified plywood and white oak veneer in select structural areas. It's built without MDF or OSB and finished with a low-VOC, water-based coating that meets GREENGUARD® Gold certification standards for low chemical emissions and FDA food-contact standards.

Solid wood is a single piece of natural wood, while veneer is a thin layer of real wood applied to a plywood base for added stability. The Savona Kids Trundle incorporates FSC®-certified white oak veneer in select areas to enhance durability while maintaining the look and feel of solid wood furniture.

The Savona Trundle is specifically designed to fit under the Savona Kids Bed and may not be compatible with beds from other collections or brands.

No, the trundle does not include a mattress. For the best fit, we recommend a low-profile mattress (around 6" high) to ensure it slides in and out with ease. Our 2-in-1 Organic Kids Mattress is a great organic option.

The Savona Trundle is designed to fit a trundle short mattress, which is shorter than a standard twin — standard twin mattresses will not fit properly. For the best fit and function, we recommend a mattress specifically labeled as "trundle short" or one that measures approximately 38" x 71". Our 2-in-1 Organic Kids Mattress is a great organic option.

To keep your Savona Kids Trundle looking beautiful for years to come, dust it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or exposing it to extreme temperatures, as this can affect the wood's finish over time. In case of spills, blot immediately with a clean, damp cloth to prevent moisture damage. We do not recommend using chemical cleansers, abrasives, furniture polish, or wax, as these may compromise the water-based finish. Additionally, hardware may loosen with regular use, so periodically check and tighten all connections to maintain stability and durability.
