Muslin's loose, open weave makes it naturally breathable — it allows heat and moisture to escape rather than build up against Baby's skin. It's also lightweight and flexible, which makes it easier to wrap and adjust than heavier cotton fabrics. And because muslin softens with every wash, these swaddles get cozier the more you use them.

Yes. Our muslin swaddle blankets contain no chemical flame retardants. The GOTS certification requires that all materials and processing methods meet strict non-toxic standards, which means no GOTS-prohibited chemical treatments of any kind.

Absolutely. At 47" x 47", these are large enough for swaddling newborns and versatile enough to serve as receiving blankets, stroller covers, nursing covers, burp cloths, tummy time surfaces, and more. They're one of the most multi-purpose items in any new parent's toolkit.

Place the blanket flat in a diamond shape, fold the top corner down about 6 inches, and lay Baby face up with their shoulders at the fold. Wrap one side snugly across Baby's body and tuck it underneath, then bring the bottom corner up and over, and wrap the remaining side across. Always leave room for Baby's hips to move freely — swaddling too tightly around the hips can restrict healthy hip development.

These swaddle blankets can be used for newborn sleep under supervision, but always follow current safe sleep guidelines from the AAP. Swaddling should be discontinued once your baby shows signs of rolling over. Baby should always be placed on their back to sleep on a firm, flat surface.
