Organic Pet Bed FAQs

The right size depends on how your dog likes to sleep. Measure your pet from nose to tail while they’re fully stretched out, then choose a bed that gives them a few extra inches to sprawl comfortably. If your dog tends to curl up, you may be able to size down slightly — but when in doubt, more room to stretch is always a safe bet. If you’re using the bed as a crate pad, they are conveniently designed to fit standard crate sizes (see specifications below for more details).

While we don’t use the term “orthopedic” (we’re sleep experts, not veterinarians!), our pet bed is designed with supportive organic latex that gently cushions the body and helps to distribute weight more evenly. This creates a balanced, responsive surface that relieves pressure points and eases joints — perfect for everyday rest!

Our dog bed features a removable waterproof cover to protect the inner materials from messes and accidents, making cleanup simple. For day-to-day care, you can spot clean or machine wash the cover, and the inner latex layer should remain dry and can be spot cleaned and aired out as needed.

Dogs don’t technically need a designated bed, but having a consistent “place” of their own can make a big difference. Dogs are naturally den-oriented animals, so a dedicated space can help them feel more secure and settled. It’s also helpful for training, giving them a go-to spot for cues like “place” or “bed.” Since dogs sleep far more than humans do, having a comfortable, supportive surface designed just for them helps to create a routine and a space they’ll naturally return to throughout the day.

No dog bed is completely chew-proof, especially for determined chewers. That being said, this bed is made with durable, organic cotton canvas designed to hold up to everyday use, and the cover can be replaced if needed. For heavy chewers, supervision and training are always recommended.

Both materials can offer cushioning, but they differ in feel and what goes into them. Organic latex has a naturally responsive, buoyant feel that adapts quickly as your pet moves and allows for better airflow, while memory foam tends to be slower to respond and can retain more heat. It’s also worth considering material sourcing — memory foam is typically made from petrochemicals with little to no oversight as far as toxins go, whereas certified organic latex comes from rubber tree sap and is produced under strict material standards. Many pet owners gravitate toward latex for its durability, breathability, and more straightforward material profile.
